Whitney Houston, the powerful voice behind many memorable and award winning songs and the  golden girl of the music industry has died at the unthinkable age of 48.

While much will be said about Whitney Houston over the coming days we at Bahamas Destination Wedding remember her for the impact and influence her majestic and regal voice has had on not only the music industry but the world. And we can not help but be saddened by her passing.

Whitney, wowed us with her beautiful, powerful and perfect voice in her performance of songs like “Saving All My Love for You”, “How Will I Know”, “Greatest Love of All”, “I Wanna Dance with Somebody”, “Didn’t We Almost Have It All”, “So Emotional” and “Where Do Broken Hearts Go.”

And we responded by making one of the world’s best-selling and celebrated artist with more than 200 million albums sold worldwide, 415 awards including diamond, multi-platinum, platinum and gold certification, 11 US number one hits, six Grammy, including three for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, 30 Billboard Awards and 22 American Music Awards during her record breaking career.

Whitney Houston was not only a singer she was an actress, producer, and model, winning two Emmy Awards and starring in movies like “The Bodyguard”, “Waiting to Exhale” and “the Preacher’s Wife.”

But it is what could be regarded as Whitney Houston signature song, the song that gave her worldwide success and became the best selling single by a female artist of all time, selling more than a million copies in one week,  placing her at number four and the only female in the top 10 list of the best selling album of all time, the wedding song favourite of countless brides and grooms, that we want to remember her with – I Will Always Love You.
