Royal Caribbean Offers Bahamas Wedding at Sea


Royal Caribbean International Cruise Line is now offering couples the opportunity to have their Bahamas wedding at sea.  Be sure and watch the video below of Allure of the Seas 7-Night Caribbean Cruise to get a feel of the cruise experience.

The cruise line announced in a press release that it has been cleared by the Bahamas Government to legally offer weddings and vow renewal ceremonies aboard its ships while at sea.

According to Royal Caribbean…

Brides and grooms will be married in a manner that is legally recognized by the Bahamas through the newly passed Marriage Act, which allows for marriages while in international waters.

Royal Caribbean Bahamas wedding at sea will be promoted as The Sweethearts at Seas and is now available to be booked for cruises starting January 1, 2013.

The Bahamas wedding at sea packages will include ceremony performed by the ship’s Captain, a groom’s boutonniere, a rose bouquet for the bride, freshly-made cake, recorded music and a live soloist during ceremony, wine at the ceremony, dinner for the bride and groom at an on board specialty restaurant, photography services, plus champagne and strawberries in the couple’s stateroom.

Wedding Planners Institute of Canada Wedding Conference In The Bahamas

The 6th annual Wedding Conference of the Wedding Planners Institute of Canada got started in The Bahamas with a welcome reception at the Atlantis Cove pool side on November 1st.

The Conference which will run for four days with some eight professional seminar sessions held at three destination resorts in Nassau marks the second time that the conference is being held in a warm weather destination and its first time in The Bahamas.

And will be affecting the islands for the next two day with no island being spared the impact of hurricane.

The presence of the hurricane will certainly impact the destination wedding plans for person hoping to have their wedding this week and maybe for the next few weeks depending on the amount of damage that Irene inflicts.

Those who are already in the Bahamas need not be too worried as all of the major resort and hotels are well prepared to withstand the impacts of hurricane Irene.
